Public Holidays & Payout Timing

How public holidays affect payouts

  • Kapsule payout processing: Payouts are normally initiated every Tuesday.
  • Bank operating hours: If a bank holiday falls on a Tuesday, payouts are sent on the next working day.
  • Clearance delays: Even if Kapsule processes payouts on time, your bank may delay crediting funds if it observes a holiday.

This applies to both domestic and international payouts.

Typical scenarios

  1. Holiday falls on payout day

    • Example: If Tuesday is a public holiday, Kapsule will process payouts on Wednesday.

  2. Holiday falls during bank clearance

    • Example: Payout sent Tuesday but your bank is closed Wednesday. Your funds may arrive a day later than usual.

  3. International transfers

    • If either your country or the country of the processing bank has a holiday, delays may be slightly longer (1–3 extra business days).

Your payout report will still generate on schedule in the Vendor Dashboard, even if funds are delayed.

Planning tips for vendors

  • Check holiday calendars: Look out for public  holidays in your region. 
  • Adjust stock purchasing: If a payout is due near a holiday, allow for extra time before funds clear.
  • Communicate with suppliers: Let them know if payments may be delayed due to bank schedules.
  • Keep a buffer: Maintain a small reserve to cover business expenses during holiday weeks.

Bank holidays are outside Kapsule’s control. While we initiate payouts promptly, clearance times depend on your bank’s processing schedule.

1. Will I lose a payout if it’s delayed by a holiday?

No. The payout will simply move to the next working day.

2. Do delays affect my Settlement Report?

No. Reports generate on the same schedule, regardless of bank holidays.

3. Are international payouts more affected?

Yes. They may take an additional 1–3 days if either country has a holiday.

4. Can I request faster processing during holidays?

No. All payouts follow the standard weekly schedule.

5. How will I know if a payout is delayed?

You’ll see the scheduled payout in your Vendor Dashboard, and funds will appear in your bank once cleared.
